Presentation 19.001.jpeg

Tasted July 25th 2021

Note: Tasted on National Wine & Cheese day. Always offers great value even at its price point so I felt it’s fitting as the wine choice of the day.

National Wine & Cheese Day, felt like a charcuterie and cheese would make it.

First Impression: Deep ruby with purple hue and almost jam-like viscosity, not intentionally nosing but it’s spreading some black fruit and creamy buttery notes in the air.

Flavours: Medium plus intensity of flavours in a big grounded statement, Blackberry, black cherry, blue berry, cassis, black pepper, leather, smoked meat, earth, forest floor, stewed meat, roasted mushroom, hints of violet.

Structure: Dry, medium plus intensity, lots of complexity and actually more intense in the finish. Medium balancing acidity, full body, smooth medium + velvety tannins, medium+ alcohol. Beautifully sophisticated.
