Ornellaia 2013 is one of those pleasures that you initially make excuses for but immediately found salvation from guilt.

On the palate it is quite creamy with more of the exciting sweetness like sparkling fresh fruit crystals if that makes any sense.

With its amazing staying power, I only hope I can be patient enough to let it mature for decades before opening again.

One like a majestic “stag” roaming the vast land of the free, one like a beautiful castle floating amongst the clouds.

So far I have not yet been to a restaurant where the server would offer wine pairing recommendations based on the food I order - not even at Yew.
