Silent Partner Cabernet Franc - Red Barn at Jagged Rock
Tasted Oct 22nd 2021
Note: Very good quality, well balanced, it’s like a classic, tasteful, well-produced burlesque show. Vogue.
Drink now, may improve with 3-5 years of cellaring. I would love to see how the flavours will evolve with the tannins it has.
First Impression: Medium ruby gem. Like a sophisticated dark red vogue makeup.
Flavours: Medium+ intensity, red and black cherry, mixed berry jam, plum, prune, refreshing vegetal notes like bell pepper, slate, soil, something rustic yet refined about it.
Structure: Dry, medium+ acidity, pronounced intensity on the palate, medium+ fine grained tannins, medium+ body yet still elegant and graceful, long finish.
Producer: Red Barn at Jagged Rock, Oliver, BC, Canada
Location: Jagged Rock Vineyard, Black Sage Bench.
Harvest: Hand harvested.
Fermentation: 30% whole bunch fermented (possibly saignée for the Transfiction Rose)
Variety: 100% Cabernet Franc
Technicals: 14.7% ABV / TA 5.9 / RS 0.0
Production: 165 Cases
