Blue Mountain Pinot Noir 2015

Oriental ink-like ruby red, deeper in colour for a Pinot Noir. It is reflecting some maturity. On the nose is oak-infused red cherry and strawberry jam and mostly butter and smoke - reminds me of Napa Chardonnay if that makes any sense. It is a full body wine with good intensity, balance, concentration and long length. Gotta say that this wine is not what I was expecting, the oak and secondary malolactic conversion seems too obvious and ended up masking the fruit. However, the structural balance is there to still make it a good quality and delicious wine though. Showing maturity already 3 years in, drink now and enjoy! What do you think about this wine? Edit: About an hour after open, a bit black fruit started to show. Will come back again tomorrow

Edit 2: Poured myself another glass the next day, it is much more harmonized with integrated fresh and concentrated black and red fruits, the obvious oak and butter have become laced in spice and cream. Much better now!
