Transcending aroma of blueberry jam like an incense slowly burning in the corner. It was subtle yet full of life. Matured and substantial cured leather, slow smoked meat, clove, and black pepper fills the nose and palate. Not as individual parts but as a well seasoned, slow-roasted, fall-off-the-bone flavourful goodness. Rounded edges presents old-world style Syrah in a new light, kind of like a Cote-Rotie meets an Australian Shiraz and something very BC about it. Alluring and restrained at the same time. It is the Lion King of the Pride Rock kind of a wine.
